2025 Holiday Closures

Posted by Bailey Everett on Nov 10th 2025

Hello again, everyone. It’s been a minute since I’ve reached out to you to share the goings-on at Pickett. With Thanksgiving less than three weeks away, I thought now would be a good time to share some scheduling with you. I know we’re all going to be inundated by Black Friday and Cyber Monday emails soon enough. Not only do I not want to be lost in that quagmire, but I also don’t want to take your attention away from what matters most: time with family.

With that in mind, here’s a schedule of Pickett’s holiday hours:

  • Week of Thanksgiving:
    • Open Monday through Wednesday (11/24 – 11/26)
    • Closed Thursday and Friday (11/27 – 11/28)
  • Weeks of Christmas and New Year’s:
    • Open Monday and Tuesday (12/22 – 12/23)
    • Closed Wednesday through Friday (12/24 – 12/26)
    • Open Monday, Tuesday, and Friday (12/29 – 12/30, 1/2/26)
    • Closed Wednesday and Thursday (12/31 – 1/1/26)

I know there are plenty of people out there who want to make full use of their yearly budget. I also know that the holidays are a great time for people to use the last of their PTO at work. My staff tends to get happy feet on slow days around the holidays, and I don’t like keeping people around if the phones and emails are silent. It’s possible we may close early on days around the holidays. With that said, if you want to pay for an order before 2026, please plan on doing so by Monday, 12/22/25.  I realize this is a bit earlier than year-end, but this way we can ensure we get your payment processed in time. My staff have not yet placed their holiday PTO requests, so it's possible the accounting department won’t be in the office on 12/30. You can also submit these requests to us via email at orders@epickett.com. We check emails regularly, even when out of the office.

I also wanted to share my convention schedule with everyone. In the event you’re attending one of these, please feel free to drop by Pickett’s booth. I can also bring certain items to the shows (within reason) so you can save on freight. I’ve made note which conventions I plan to fly to. I doubt Delta would be willing to haul a 3” cast iron pump and 13HP motor for me.

  • NAAA, Reno, NV: 11/17 – 11/20 (flying)
  • Mid-States, Bettendorf, IA: 12/9 – 12/11
  • AAAA, Hot Springs, AR: 1/2 – 1/3
  • LAAA, Lake Charles, LA: 1/5 – 1/7
  • TAAA, Lake Conroe, TX: 1/14 – 1/16 (flying)
  • NEAA, Gettysburg, PA: 1/18 – 1/20 (flying)
  • MAAA, Biloxi, MS: 1/22 – 1/24
  • SDEUC, Kansas City, MO: 1/25 – 1/29

One last thing to note: there are some interesting product updates in the works. I don’t want to spoil anything yet, so keep an eye on your email. Once I have some more details, I’ll be certain to send them your way.

I’ll work to improve my blog frequency. I know my advertising folks would love to see these roll out more frequently and so would I. If we don’t speak beforehand, I hope you all have a very Happy Thanksgiving. I hope to see you down the road.
